Abstract: The corrosion phenomena of 33 substation facilities within 17 cities in Hainan province were analyzed, the failure reasons of coatings and metals in substations in high temperature, high humidity and high salt conditions in Hainan were investigated, and the problems existing in the coatings were summarized. It is found that the levels of corrosion were different in different substations. The corrosion types of the coatings include general corrosion and localized corrosion. The purpose of this research was to provide a basis for the study of new anti-corrosion coatings in Hainan environments.
