Abstract: Four tank floors were detected and evaluated through acoustic emission technology. The reliability of acoustic emission detection and evaluation results for corrosion of tank floor was studied by comparing with the results of tank opening test. The research results show that the detection and evaluation results from acoustic emission test had good conformity with the results from tank opening test. So acoustic emission technology can be used in online detection and evaluation of tank floor corrosion, providing a scientific basis for tank maintenance cycle.
