Abstract: Material corrosion may cause economic losses at least, or threaten life at most. Establishing a material corrosion database, using existing corrosion data to analyze corrosion influencing factors and predict the development law of material corrosion can provide effective data support for material selection and accurate corrosion protection of engineering components. In this work, the data sources of material corrosion database were analyzed, the development history and current situation of material corrosion database at home and abroad and the stage characteristics of domestic corrosion database were summarized. Finally, combined with the development of database and data mining technology, some suggestions for the future construction of material corrosion database were put forward in terms of data management mode and database function improvement.
