Abstract: The research on galvanic coupling corrosion of steel materials commonly used in offshore engineering equipment is reviewed, the factors affecting galvanic coupling corrosion of steel in seawater are analyzed, and the current status of research on galvanic coupling corrosion of steel in seawater when it is connected with dissimilar metals and non-metallic materials is focused on, and the research prospects in the field are outlooked.
