Abstract: The status of development and application of corrosion-resistant cast iron are introduced. The corrosion behavior and mechanism of corrosion-resistant cast iron in various environments are reviewed, and correlations between the composition, microstructure and corrosion resistance of corrosion-resistant cast iron are revealed. The effects of alloying, coating and preparation methods on the corrosion resistance of cast iron are elaborated. Finally, the development tendency of corrosion-resistant cast iron is prospected.
