Abstract:
Mo
2NiB
2 cermet were prepared using liquid-phase sintering technology, and the effects of different sintering temperature (1 280 ℃) holding times (insulation times) on the phase composition, microstructure, hardness, friction and wear properties, and corrosion resistance of Mo
2NiB
2 cermet were studied. The results show that Mo
2NiB
2 cermet were mainly composed of Mo
2NiB
2 phase, MoB phase, and MoNi phase. With the extension of insulation time, the amount of Mo
2NiB
2 phase generated first increased and then decreased. When the insulation time was 40 minutes, the hardness of the Mo
2NiB
2 cermet was the highest (2 784.9 HV
0.2), the friction and wear performance was the best, the corrosion resistance was the best, and the corrosion rate was 0.09 mm/a. However, when the insulation time was 10 minutes, the various properties of the sample deteriorated markedly.
