Abstract:
On-site inspections were conducted to assess the service conditions of multiple regional cathodic protection systems in Tahe Oilfield. The problems of the cathodic protection system in the station area were sorted out from the aspects of the performance of potentiostats, the effectiveness of reference electrodes, the grounding resistance of auxiliary anodes, and the cathodic insulation. The causes of these problems were also discussed. Corresponding solutions and daily management recommendations were proposed. The relevant work serves as valuable technical guidance for ensuring reliable operation of regional cathodic protection systems.
