Abstract: The corrosion causes and current status of wires and insulators in overhead transmission lines are reviewed. The corrosion detection technology and anti-corrosion technology for overhead transmission lines at present are introduced. The performance, principle and application status of superhydrophobic coating/structure and chemical anti-corrosion coating are introduced emphatically.
