Abstract: Scientific corrosion management is the key issue to ensure the continuous safe and stable operation of equipment and facilities in the power industry. This paper conducts a comprehensive investigation on the current situation of corrosion protection in the power industry by means of questionnaire survey, field investigation and expert consultation. The problems in corrosion management and their causes are analyzed from the aspects of personnel allocation, system construction and process management. In order to further improve the corrosion management level of the power industry, countermeasures and suggestions are put forward, such as establishing a scientific corrosion management system, perfecting the whole life cycle management mode, improving the performance appraisal mechanism, and building a corrosion management communication platform.
