Abstract:
The needle punched laminated sodium based bentonite waterproof blanket has a permanent waterproof blanket effect, which can reduce the pollution caused by oil and gas leaks to the environment. It is often used for pipelines crossing environmental protection areas, but its impact on the cathodic protection of the wrapped pipelines is not yet clear. Simulation experiments were conducted on the impact of waterproof blankets on pipeline cathodic protection under different wrapping forms, and practical application and effect testing were carried out. Based on the test results, the key influencing factors of waterproof blankets on the shielding of pipeline cathodic protection were analyzed. The results show that the surface resistivity of waterproof blankets was very high(9.1 × 10
5 Ω· m
2), and had strong insulation properties. The anti-seepage pad opening structure did not have cathodic protection shielding, which could provide reference for cathodic protection of buried pipelines wrapped in waterproof blankets.
