Abstract:
Detailed on-site feeding tests and 3D simulation were conducted on the buried pipelines and tank bottom plates of an oilfield station. Based on the on-site feeding test results and numerical simulation results, the needed protection current and anode ground bed distribution scheme were determined, and the demonstration application was carried out. The results show that the scheme determined by on-site feeding tests and numerical simulations could achieve the expected protection effect. In a tank farm with 7 tanks, two deep-well anodes with a total current output of 80 A were required to achieve a potential of -850 mV for a single tank.
