    Antioxidation of MAO Layers on Tantalum Surface

    • A ceramic layer on the surface of tantalum metal was prepared by micro-arc oxidation technology.The morphology of the layer was observed by SEM.The weight method was adopted to study the oxidation resistance of the ceramic layer.The effect of discharge experiment gain parameters on the oxidation resistance of the layer was discussed.The results show that the micro-arc oxidation treatment could significantly improve the high temperature oxidation resistance of tantalum metal surface;the largest effect on the high temperature oxidation resistance resulted from the level of Al in the micro-arc oxidation coating and the compactness of the coating.When the processing conditions were 400 V,1 000 Hz and 20 min,the high temperature oxidation resistance of the ceramic layer was the best.
