Corrosion Performance of Graphene and Graphene/Epoxy Composite Coating

    • A graphene film was synthesized by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) on Cu to investigate its protection performance for Cu. The graphene was characterized by TEM and Raman spectrum. The electrochemical property of the graphene film was tested by Gamry electrochemical workstation. In order to improve the corrosion performance of graphene film, epoxy resin coating was spin-coated on it. The results indicated that graphene film could protect the copper for a short time. At the initial stage, multi-layer graphene increased the anticorrosion performance. During the later corrosion period, fewer layers of graphene showed better anticorrosion performance. The epoxy resin coating could improve the corrosion performance of graphene film to some extent.
