    Susceptibility of X70 and X80 Steels to Hydrogen Embrittlement in Yingtan Simulated Solution

    • X70 and X80 steels were selected to evaluate the susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement in Yingtan simulated solution by slow strain rate test (SSRT) adding negative cathodic protection potential. The results show that hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of the pipeline steels increased as the potential became more negative. Hydrogen embrittlement risk of X80 pipeline steel is higher than that of X70 at the same potential.
