    Research Progress in High Temperature Oxidation Resistance of Laves Phase Ta-Cr Base Compounds

    • Laves phase Ta-Cr based compounds are important potential high temperature structural materials due to their high melting temperature, moderate density and good high temperature mechanical propertis. The research on oxidation mechanism and the method of enhancing the oxidation resistance of Laves phase Ta-Cr based compounds are reviewed, including the progress in the aspects of doping, active element effects and protective coatings. The problems existing in the field and the development trend of the future research are also pointed out.
