    Corrosion and Repair of 1.4301 Stainless Steel Pipeline

    • In order to resolve the corrosion problem of stainless steel pipeline in a pump station project, the chemical composition of the pipe material and welding seam were analyzed. It was found that the anticorrosion element in the welding seam was lower than that in the pipe material, and thus most of the corrosion happened on the welding seam. The corrosion mechanism was probed. the results showed that the high chloride content was the main reason for corrosion, and high temperature in site was the second factor. According to the site condition, the BELZONA high polymer material repair method was adopted, which could solve the corrosion problem effectively.
