    A New Technology of Spongy Chromium Plating on Expansion Ring

    • The process of chromium plating on the arc external diameter of the aviation stainless steel expansion ring was studied. The best technology was determined, hydraulic-sand blasting was used as the method of pretreatment and special tooling was used for protection. Metallographic analysis was adopted to observe the surface microstructure of the chromium plating layer on the arc external diameter of the expansion ring and grinding was performed to inspect the binding force of the chromium plating layer. The results show that the chromium plating layer exhibited homogeneous structure, favorable binding force and strong anti-abrasive properties.
