Comparison of Effectiveness of AC Interference Mitigation between Solid State Decoupler and Clamping Diode

  • Solid state decoupler and clamping diode are widely used in AC interference mitigation of buried steel pipelines. Based on the AC interference mitigation of a natural gas pipeline, the performance of two kinds of device was evaluated comparatively. The performance of solid state decoupler was better than that of clamping diode in respects of the effectiveness of AC mitigation and the effect on cathodic protection.
