Corrosion Reason for Insulating Joint in an Oil Field

  • It′s one of the insulating joint failures that the side without catholic protection was corroded, such a situation happened in Xinjiang. The causes of corrosion perforation on the side of the insulating joint without catholic protection were analyzed by observing the microstructure, measuring the potential between the both side of the insulating joint and analyzing the in-situ situation. Some suitable control measures were put forward.
