    Applicability of Chemical Immersion Test Methods for Intergranular Corrosion Evaluation of Alloy 690

    • The applicability of chemical immersion test methods for intergranular corrosion (IGC) of alloy 690 was investigated by chemical immersion test, potentiodynamic polarization curve combined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation of intergranular corrosion morphology. The results revealed that HNO3-HF method was the best way to test the intergranular corrosion behavior of alloy 690, this method could evaluate the sensitivity of intergranular corrosion of alloy 690 accurately and rapidly.
