Abstract
The corrosion behavior of weathering steel Q420qENH for bridge in ocean environment simulated by cyclic immersion and longtime immersion experiments was studied through observation of corrosion morphology and electrochemical analysis. And traditional weathering steel 09CuPCrNi was studied comparatively. The results indicate that the corrosion resistance of Q420qENH steel was better than that of steel 09CuPCrNi in simulated ocean environment. The rust layer in the surface of Q420qENH steel after cyclic immersion experiment was uniform and compact, and had a strong protection. The electrochemical impedance of both Q420qENH steel and 09CuPCrNi steel increased first and then decreased, finally increased to a relatively stable value with the prolongation of immersion time in the simulated ocean environment.
