Abstract
An imidazoline intermediate was obtained using swill-cooked dirty oil, p-hydroxy diphenylamine and triethylamine as raw materials, and a stable imidazoline derivative corrosion inhibitor was obtained by modificaiton using styrene-acrylic emulsion, coupling agents and defoamers. FTIR was used to characterize the inhibitor, and corrosion inhibition for J55 steel was investigated by static weight loss method, electrochemical methods and SEM, and the adsorption behavior of the inhibitor on surface of J55 steel was also discussed. The results indicate that it is a cationic corrosion inhibitor, the inhibition efficiency of the inhibitor on J55 steel was up to 87.97% when 500 mg/L was added in the test solution. The inhibitor can be described by Langmuir isotherm equation.
