    Research Progress of Anti-ablation Coatings for Carbon/Carbon Composites at High Temperature

    • The serious ablation of carbon/carbon (C/C) composites restricts their applications in the field of aeronautics and aerospace in the ultra-high temperature plume with high-speed gas flow. The anti-ablation coating is one of the most effective methods for the improvement of ablation resistance of C/C composites. The recent development of several oxidation resistant coatings including glass, metal and ceramic coatings for C/C composites is reviewed in this paper. Besides, the current method and research achievement of ablation simulation test are introduced. The potential important development of the ablation resistant coatings for C/C composites in the future research is also proposed.
