    Synthesis and Corrosion Inhibition of a Polymerized Imidazoline Corrosion Inhibitor

    • Hydroxyl poly ricinoleic acid was synthesized from recinoleic acid, and then combined with organic amine to form a poly imidazolinone corrosion inhibitor. The corrosion inhibition was evaluated by dynamic weight loss method and electrochemical method, the corrosion morphology of coupons was observed by scanning electron microscropy. Results indicated that the imidazolinone inhibitor inhibited the corrosion of N80 steel effectively under 60℃ and 8 MPa CO2 conditions. The corrosion rate was less than 0.076 mm/a at a dosage of 30 mg/L. The adsorption isotherm was calculated, which was represented by the Langmuir isotherm model.
