Corrosion Behavior of Weathering Bridge Steel Q500qENH in Simulated Industrial Atmospheric Environment

    • The corrosion behavior of weathering bridge steel Q500qENH made by Ansteel in simulated industrial atmospheric environment was studied through cyclic immersion corrosion test and compared with that of traditional weathering bridge steel 09CuPCrNi. And their corrosion behavior was analyzed by corrosion morphology observation and electrochemical testing. The results indicate that microstructure and chemical constitution can affect the corrosion resistance of substrate to a certain extent. The corrosion resistance depended on protection of rust layer after protective rust formation. According to the results of cyclic immersion corrosion test, electrochemical impedance and linear polarization curves of rusty samples, the corrosion resistance of Q500qENH was better than that of 09CuPCrNi.
