Degradation Law of Mechanical Properties for Low Carbon Steel Corroded in Simulated Acid Rain

    • The effects of acid rain corrosion on mechanical properties of low carbon steel Q235 was studied through accelerated corrosion test and tensile test. The results show that with the increase of corrosion degree, the yield stage decreased till disappeared and the tensile strength of the low carbon steel declined significantly. The elastic modulus, yield strength, tensile strength and elongation of corroded low carbon steel decreased linearly with the increase of corrosion degree.
