Analysis and Software Development of SY/T 6477-2014 Evaluation methods of Remaining Strength for Oil & Gas Transmission Pipeline with Flaws

    • The differences between standard SY/T 6477-2014 and previous versions are inclroduced, and how to use these methods to perform residual strength assessment and evaluation are also introduced, so as to determine whether the facility with known defects is able to provide continuous service under the condition of existing load, then to calculate residual life and inspection cycle. For convenience of practical engineering, the assessment system of remaining strength for long-distance pipelines is developed, with function modules of data management and system management included. Taking uniform corrosion defect of oil pipe as an example, this paper introduces the assessment process of the software to verify the applicability of it.
