Abstract
Fe-8Al alloy was prepared by vacuum induction melting. The alloy sheets were prepared by 70%, 63%, 50% and 80% rolling reduction, respectively, then the Fe-8Al alloy were treated at 900 ℃ for 10 minutes and water-cooled. SEM, tensile test and electrochemical test were used to investigate the properties of 4 Fe-8Al alloy sheets. The results showed that with the increase of rolling reduction, the material grain size decreased. Fe-Al alloy sample with a rolling reduction of 80% had the best comprehensive mechanical properties. Fe-Al alloy sample with a rolling reduction of 63% had the best corrosion resistance in 5% (mass) Na2SO4 solution. The best rolling reduction for Fe-8Al alloy was 80%.
