    Recent Status of Research on Corrosion Resistant Steel Bars and Analysis on Existing Corrosion Evaluation Methods

    • Steel bar corrosion is the main cause of the failure of concrete in marine environment, and the improvement of corrosion resistance of steel bars is the best method to inprove the durability of concrete in marine environment. The recent status and existing problems of research on the corrosion resistant steel bars are reviewed in this paper. The physical testing methods and electrochemical testing methods of steel bars in concrete are summarized. The characteristics of rapid corrosion evaluation methods of reinforced steel bars existing at home and abroad are analyzed.
