    One Step Electro-Deposited Ca-P/CTS Composite Coating and Its Corrosion Resistance

    • One step electro-deposition was used for deposition of chitosan doped calcium phosphate composite coating (Ca-P/CTS) on the surface of AZ31 magnesium alloy. The morphology, structure and composition of the Ca-P/CTS composite coating were characterized by laser confocus microscopy (CLSM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The corrosion resistance of the coating was studied by electrochemical testing. The results show that the Ca-P/CTS composite coating could improve the corrosion resistance of AZ31 magnesium alloy efficiently. And the Ca-P/CTS composite coating had the best corrosion resistance when the concentration of chitosan was 0.2 g/L.
