Analysis of Aging Failure of 3PE Heat Shrinkable Sleeve and Improvement Measures

The effects of wet and heat aging on corrosion protection of different types of 3PE heat shrinkable sleeve used in joint coating were studied by hot-water soak method. The results reveal that the acid anhydride groups in hot melt adhesive would accelerate the failure of the 3PE heat shrinkable sleeve; and the curing degree of the primer of dry film coating was superior to that of wet film coating.
