    Initial Corrosion Behavior of X80 Pipeline Steel in the Yellow Sea

    • The corrosivity of seawater at 18 stations in the Yellow Sea was studied. The electrochemical corrosion behavior of X80 pipeline steel in the Yellow Sea area was studied by polarization curve and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and the effect of corrosion factors in the environment on corrosion behavior of X80 pipeline steel was analyzed. The results showed that the seawater in the Yellow Sea could be divided into three categories. Density, salinity and content of dissolved oxygen of seawater were significantly correlated with the corrosion current density of X80 pipeline steel. The corrosion of X80 pipeline steel in the Yellow Sea generally presents a trend of low in south, high in morth, low in near shore and high in far shore.
