    Stress Corrosion Behavior of X80 Pipeline Steel in NS4 Solution

    • The electrochemical corrosion and stress corrosion behavior of base metal and welded joint of X80 SSAW pipelines in NS4 solution were tested by electrochemical experiment and slow strain rate test (SSRT). The results showed that the self-corrosion potential of base metal was higher than that of welded joint and the corrosion current density of base metal was lower than that of welded joint in NS4 solution. The base metal was not sensitive to stress corrosion cracking in NS4 solution and the welded joint exhibited some sensitivity to stress corrosion but not significant.
