    Research Methods and Research Progress for Cavitation Corrosion of Passive Metals

    • The research methods for cavitation corrosion of passive metals are summarized. The present research progress of the cavitation corrosion behavior for typical passive metals, such as stainless steel and titanium and its alloys, are introduced. The main test methods are reviewed from the perspectives of cavitation corrosion degree, structure and composition, surface mechanical properties and electrochemical behavior. The cavitation corrosion characteristics of stainless steel and titanium and titanium alloys are discussed. The further study tendency on cavitation corrosion behavior of passive metals is also proposed.
