Effects of Heat-Treatment Temperature on Properties of Ni-P Alloy Coating on Surface of Titanium Alloy for Tennis Rackets

    • Ni-P alloy coating was prepared on the surface of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V by electroless deposition method, and heat-treated at different temperatures. The effects of heat treatment temperature on phase composition, micro-hardness and wear resistance of the Ni-P alloy coating were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), hardness testing and friction-wear testing. The results show that the Ni-P alloy coating heat-treated at 400℃ for 2 h had a compact and uniform structure, the largest micro-hardness of 910 HV and the best wear resistance.
