Influences of Plating Time on the Properties of Electroless Plating Ni-W-P Alloy Coating on the Surface of Aluminum

    • Electrochemical tests and other methods were used to study the effect of plating time on the deposition rate, porosity, corrosion rate, electrochemical performance of Ni-W-P alloy coating. The results showed that when the plating time was 40 min, the deposition rate of Ni-W-P alloy coating was higher, and the thickness was thicker (12 μm). The surface was smooth and bright, and the bonding force was good. The lowest porosity was 0.25 cm-2, and the coating had the best corrosion resistance. At the same time, the Vickers hardness of the coating was 155 HV, the microstructure of the coating was tight and uniform, and the mixed crystal structure was composed of amorphous and microcrystalline. The appearance of amorphous structure was an important reason for the high corrosion resistance of the coating.
