Abstract
The corrosion behavior of B30 copper-nickel alloy in simulated saline groundwater containing different anions was studied by potentiodynamic polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The results show that the corrosion resistance of B30 copper-nickel alloy decreased with the increase of Cl- and HCO3- concentrations. Low concentration of SO42- decreased the corrosion resistance of B30 copper-nickel alloy, while high concentration of SO42- improved the corrosion resistance of B30 copper-nickel alloy. The corrosion resistance of B30 copper-nickel alloy in simulated saline groundwater was lower than that in simulated sea water.
