Corrosion Factor Analysis and Treatment Measures of High Mineralization Oilfield Sewage Treatment System

Abstract
The equipment and pipelines of a high salinity oilfield sewage treatment plant in the west corroded repeatedly. The causes of corrosion were studied by comprehensive analysis of sewage water quality, corrosion monitoring data, corrosion product composition, and the use of on-site corrosion inhibitors. The results showed that the system was not closed, causing oxygen in the environment to enter the system, and the sewage was highly corrosive, which accelerated the corrosion of pipes and equipment. In addition, the design of the corrosion inhibitor filling point in the system was unreasonable and the addition amount was insufficient, so that the corrosion inhibitor could not effectively alleviate the corrosion of the system. Governance measures were proposed for these reasons.
