Abstract
The chemical composition of a new Zn-Mg-Ni-V-Al alloy coating was designed by orthogonal method, and alloy coatings with different composition were prepared on the surface of Q235 steel. The effects of Mg, Ni, Al and V on the platability and corrosion resistance of the coating were studied. The results show that the corrosion resistance of the zinc alloy coating added with Mg, Ni, Al and V was better than that of traditional galvanized coating and Zn-Ni-V alloy coating. Mg had the most significant effect on the corrosion resistance, and Al and Mg elements had the greatest influence on the platability for the coating. The effects of Ni and V elements on the platability of the coating were not significant in the test range. The optimized combination of alloy elements in the new high corrosion resistance zinc alloy coating was as following:0.3%~0.5% Mg, ≤ 0.02% Al, 0.06% Ni,0.04% V.
