    Development of Polypropylene Heat Shrinkable Sleeve Material for Field Joint Coating

    • In view of the present domestic vacancy of polypropylene heat shrinkable sleeve material for field joint coating, the formulas of polypropylene substrate, hot melt adhesive and epoxy primer were studied. The results show that the developed polypropylene substrate, hot melt adhesive and epoxy primer had excellent performance with good compatibility. The test properties of cathodic disbondment and hot-water immersion for the installation system of field joint coating could meet the international standard requirements.
