    A Primary Study of the Corrosion Protection and Control for NPP Containment Liner

    • Containment is the third nuclear safety barrier to prevent the nuclear leakage. Containment liner corrosion is one of the main aging mechanisms. The liner's corrosion rate may increase over service time and could induce the liner leakproofness degradation, and affect the long term safe operation of nuclear power plant (NPP). The liner corrosion mechanism and main influence factors were analyzed based on the data which have been reported. A primary research on the liner corrosion detection technology was performed. The application of ultrasonic test for liner could be brought into the preventive program of NPP for reducing the liner corrosion probability.
