Abstract
The Al-Mg-Mn-Cr-Zr alloys with different content of Zr were prepared by the method of vacuum induction melting. The effect of Zr addition amount on the high-temperature oxidation behavior at 300℃ was investigated through electron scanning microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and high-temperature oxidation experiment. The results show that the addition of zirconium could significantly improve the high-temperature oxidation resistance of the alloy. With the increase of Zr addition amount, the oxidation reaction rate of the alloy decreased continuously, and the high-temperature oxidation resistance was gradually improved. The alloy had the optimal high-temperature oxidation resistance when the amount of Zr addition was 0.22% in the test range.
