Analysis of Corrosion Condition and Reasons for Oil Tubes in X Block of Sulige Gas Field

The corrosion reasons for oil tubes in X block of Sulige Gas Field were analyzed by means of measurement of tubing wall thickness, coupon corrosion test and analysis of corrosion products. The results show that the corrosion of oil tubes in X block was slight at the present, and the primary reason for tube corrosion was electrochemical corrosion caused by H₂O-H₂S-CO₂-Cl^- system. Anti-corrosion suggestions were given in combination with the experience of corrosion control in X block.
