    Failure Analysis of Coating on Concrete Floors of Containment in an AP1000 Nuclear Power Plant

    • During joint inspection of the epoxy resin coating on concrete floor of containment after heat functional test in an AP1000 nuclear power plant, it was found that the coating on concrete floor was damaged, and the coating surface was contaminated and yellowed in large areas. Macroscopic and microscopic observation, energy spectrum analysis were used to analyze the causes of coating failure. The results show that long-term immersion and penetration of rust water was the root cause of the failure of the coating.
