Abstract
Simulation experiments were carried out to study the flow accelerated corrosion (FAC) behavior of carbon steel materials in the secondary circuit of nuclear power plants with different alkalizing agents. The stress corrosion behavior of stainless steel and 690TT alloy in the secondary circuit with different alkalizing agents was studied by slow strain rate test (SSRT). The effects of different alkalizing agents on the properties of resin were studied by simulated polishing bed test. The results show that ethanol amine(ETA) had good compatibility with typical materials of the secondary circuit. Compared with NH3, the use of ETA as an alkalizing agent could reduce the FAC rate of carbon steel materials in the vapor-liquid two-phase region, and did not significantly affect the stress corrosion sensitivity of stainless steel and 690TT alloy materials, and had no significant effect on the overall performance of the resin. ETA can extend the operating cycles of the polishing system.
