    Mechanism of High Temperature Hydrogen Damage and Risk Analysis to Hydrogenation Units

    • In recent years, corrosion and leakage accidents of equipment and pipeline occurred in hydrogenation units of many large petrochemical companies at high temperature in hydrogen environment at home and abroad. The risk assessment data of some hydrogenation units and the research progress of high temperature hydrogen damage mechanisms at home and abroad were analyzed to understand the key factors of high temperature hydrogen damage. The results show that there was a high risk in the selection of materials for equipment and pipelines in some domestic hydrogenation units at high temperature in hydrogen environment. Therefore, measures and suggestions were proposed to reduce the risk of material selection and operation for these equipment and pipelines, so as to avoid corrosion leakage.
