Abstract
The process of electroless nickel plating on Mg-Li alloy was discussed. By studying the effects of temperature, pH, main salt amount, reductant amount and complexing agent amount on the plating speed and the phenomenon after plating, the best process recipe and technology parameters for electroless nickel plating on the surface of Mg-Li alloy were analyzed. Best process was used to prepare coating samples, and the morphology observation and performance test of the samples were carried out. The results show that the surface of the coating was uniform, dense and free of defects; the corrosion resistance of the coaing was significantly improved; the hardness of the coating reached 400 HV and the bonding to the substrate was good.
