    Numerical Modeling of Cathodic Protection Potential Distribution on Exterior of Tank Bottom Affected by External Structure

    • The mathematical model of cathodic protection potential distribution on the exterior of tank bottom was established using Finite element and Finite differences method. The effect of external structure including the type of grounding, the sand layer and the type of anode etc. was also studied using BEASY software. Besides, the main reason of poor protection was discussed under high output current condition in the cathodic protection of the exterior of tank bottom using deep-well anode.
