Failure Reason of the Heat Exchanger Outlet Line of Diesel Hydrogenation Unit

  • The leakage problem of the hydrogenation reaction effluent/raw oil heat exchanger outlet pipeline of a diesel hydrogenation unit of a company was systematically analyzed and tested. The results show that the mechanism of pipe cracking was chloride stress corrosion cracking of austenitic stainless steel. Corresponding prevention measures were proposed for the pipeline failure cause.
