Abstract
An artificial core was used to simulate the scale layer, and electrochemical corrosion and corrosion morphology analysis techniques were used to study the corrosion behavior of Q235 steel covered with scale layers of different permeability in simulated production water. The results showed that the scale layer covering on the surface of Q235 steel could inhibit the corrosion reaction of the substrate, and the smaller the scale layer's permeability, the stronger the inhibition effect. With the extension of the corrosion time, the inhibition effect of the scale layer on the corrosion reaction increased first and then decreased. The uniform corrosion of Q235 steel was slowed down under the scale layer, but the probability of localized corrosion increased greatly.
